THE APPLICATIONS

PPLIVE & PPTVS

PPLive is the most popular application and carries many sports channels.

PPlive Download Via FreeFootball.org Mirror * yes we know pplive has been updated but due to people having problems we recommend to continue using 1.0.9.7 for time being.

The current version does not supply an English translation of channel names, so we use Google Language Tools to translate the PPlive website and launch channels via the website. The following link shows sports channels only:

PPLive Sports Channels Currently On Air

For a full Channel guide of what's currently on air on pplive click this link:

PPlive Channel List

PPtvs is an application that uses the same protocols as pplive, so the same software can be used to view the channels on their network. It carries alot of the channels PPlive does but some are in a higher quality broadcast, and some channels are not available via the PPlive site.

PPSTREAM

PPStream is probably the better peer to peer application, however it's not as user friendly and doesn't carry as many channels that carry Premiership footy.

PPstream Download Via FreeFootball.org Mirror

Again we use Google Language Tools to use a web interface of the application:

PPStream Web Portal In English
*note this link MUST be viewed within Internet Explorer, and PPStream must have been installed already

If you right click anywhere on the main frame and choose the 3rd down set of question marks, this will force the coverage into Windows Media Player, which you can resize to your heart's content. However should you change to another channel it's a good idea to take the tick away and give your new channel a chance to get a decent buffer, otherwise media player will just attempt to play it straight away.

SOPCAST

Official Channels include the Phillipines version of ESPN, which shows the 4pm English game with English commentary.

Sopcast Download Via FreeFootball.org Mirror (* we currently supply version 0.50 as of writing due to some people having problems with 0.60, when downloaded, just unzip to a folder somewhere and run the sopcast.exe file)

like PPlive its best to go to the web page, and click play on the channels there as you'll probably find more channels than what is actually showing up in the application iteself, as many test channels can appear showing a game.

TVANTS
FINALLY! We know how to work Tvants, this is quite complicated. The quality of broadcasts are not all that great, but there are plenty of channels available that are not on other applications.

First of all download the app

Tvants Download via FreeFootball.org Mirror

Once you've downloaded and installed the application you MUST do the following steps to have any chance in hell of getting Tvants to work

1. If your not already on the servers tab, click it and click add

Add the following details into both the name and address fields, you can leave the other's blank:

tracker.tvants.com
tracker2.tvants.com
10.214.49.88
fanshoptv.no-ip.info
trackersport.serveftp.com
213.97.9.122

Bascially what you have just added are what's called tvants trackers, they may not all be online at the same time (or maybe full) but the more you have available, the better chance you have of getting a good response time and stream from the application.

The following settings, i think are not vital, but i think they helped speed up my connections to channels, but maybe it was just fluke, but for reference anyway:

Click Tools-> Settings
In sharing tab, tick the box next to Enable Gateway port mapping
In Track Server tab, tick the box next to Enable Track Server.

Right, after all that you can find channels in the following manner, if you click the search tab you should get a list of channels, you can type into the search field for example 'sports' to narrow it down to just sports channels.

You'll notice the channels are in different colours. Black bascially means 'alive and good' and you should get a connection and stream pretty quickly. Blue means ok, red poor, and greyed out means pretty much down and out.

You can also launch channels via the tvants website

Translated version of Tvants site

Again look for the blacks and the blue's for higher success.

LIVESPORTS

Livesports are embedded channels on their website, so only members can view them.

It is free to become a member, and although the website is mainly in Hebrew they do have an English forum..

Become a member of Livesports

Fill in all your details, then when you recieve their e-mail (can arrive in spam folder), you need to click on the first link in the mail to confirm your registration, once you have done this you will be free to access all their channels and forums. The English forum can be found here Although the service is usually reliable in it's content, the quality is pretty poor!
